Stars That Twinkle
starts that twinkle and shine
Lights that sparkle and glow at Christmas
Jingle bells and snow
Carols sung by a choir
Songs that everyone knows I hear them
These are a part of Christmas
Merry Christmas (repeat 10 times)
Happy New Year
Stockings hung by a fire
Children snug in their beds with visions
dancing in their heads
Happy Holiday songs
wreaths of holly and pine are hanging
These are a part of Christmas time
And the happy sounds of Christmas fill
Your heart with joy the whole year through

Oh my name is Uncle Julius, and from Sweeden I did come, to play iwth McNamara’s band and beat the big bass drum. And when I walk along the land the ladies think I’m grand They say there’s uncle Julius playing with an Irish Band.
Chorus:
When Irish Eyes are Smiling
When Irish Eyes are smiling, Sure ‘tis like the morning spring, In the lilt of Irish laughter you can hear the angels sing. When Irish hearts are happy all the world seems bright and gay. And when Irish eyes are smiling sure they steal your heart away.

We are People--parts of play in Butte
We’re good we’re bad we’re glad we’re sad we’re rarely in between
We cry, we laugh, we sing and dance and sometimes make a scene.
We ask a lot of questions and we can be silent too. Although we’re young and innocent we are people too
We’re proud We’re shamed We’re often blamed for things that don’t go right
We love, We hate, We stay up late and worry through the night. We want our friends to like us and want dreams that will come true. Although we’re young and innocent We are people too
We’d like you all to understand that we don not feel free. Give us a try and take a chance you will have to agree.
We’re not that different not at all it’s only in our size. We’re just like you our fears and hopes we often dramatize. We want applause and happiness and praise when it is due.
Although we’re young and innocent Although we’re young and innocent We ----------Are------Peo---Ple--------Too
Don’t talk to strangers
Don’t talk to strangers but love they neighbor true
I don’t know who’s a stranger and I don’t know what to do
Who’s Who, Who’s who, Who’s the friend of mine How can those I do not know be both at the very same time?
If I do not know your name or your mom and dad does that make you dangerous and someone who is bad? If I know justwhere you live and know your family does that mean that you’re my neighbor and will be kind to me?
Who’s who, Who’s who, who’s my enemy? whos the person who is mean and wants to take from me? Don’t talk to strangers Don’t talk to strangers
Even though I’ve thought about it for a long long time. I steill don’t know the answer to who’s a friend of mine. But the one thing I do know and I am sure it’s tured, Until you learn just who I am I’m a stranger too
Who’s who, Who’s who, Who’s the friend of mine How can someone I do not know be both at the very same time. Don’t talk tostrangers
We learn from what they do
Words are very important to all of us it’s true
They help us to day what we feel
And think and what we do
But parents sometimes try to hard with words to show the way
And yet, we learn from what they do not from what they say
Thye try to teach us to be kind and tell us we must share. They try to teach us to have friends and tell us to play fair. They tell us to be brave and strong in every single way. And yet we learn from what they do Not from what they say.
They want us to be loyal to the family. They want us to be generous to those who’ve less than we. They’re telling us repeatedly every night and day And yet we learn from what they do Not----from--what----they ------say--------.
They said it
Who said that a boy can’t cry?
Who said that he must be proud?
Who siad that he must be strong? Who said no feelings allowed?
Chorus:
They told him, They told me, They said it, they said it
They told him, They told me, they said it, they said it
Who said that boys must fight? Who said that boys like war? Who said that tender moments a boy must always ignore? Repeat Chorus
They told us let no one know what’s happening inside, they told us be strong and chin up and try to keep some pride They told us by word and deed and in every way they could that boys don’t cry or hurt or feel and good-----boys------ne-ver ---------should.
My heredity
Does he look just like his father? Does his smile look like his mother’s? Does he take after his uncle? Is his hair just like his brother’s?
Solo: Stop! Wait! Where can I find me? Is everything I am and do my heredity?
Does he walk like uncle Jimmy? Does he laugh like Aunt Lucille? Does he sing off key like Grandma? Does he act like cousin Neal?
Solo Oh I wish that there was something that I had that’s all my own Something special--Unique --and wonderful that I don’t have on loan
Is his style a lot like Grandpa’s? Does his voice sound like his too? Does he read as much as Daddy? Why he reminds me now of you.
Children and parents
Questions unanswered voices unheard cause much sadness
Rules without reason rules unexplained are just madness
Don’t turn your backs now come listen tome
Children and parents I awnt you both to see
Talking it over telling hte truth Leads to closeness Hiding and lying avoiding and spying are hopeless
Parents and children take off your disguise when children and parent can agree we’ll all be free
The Gift
Long Long ago in a Bethlehem plain a star shone bright all around. And the angels appeared to the shepherds there below and the night was alive with the sound.
Chorus
Then love filled the world and the song that they heard was a song of peace and joy for the lord up above had sent down his love in the form of a baby boy
Far Far away in their palaces of gold three kings of the East were told “you must follow the star to a manger stall for miracle there will unfold
chorus
Now even now in this season of the year we remember the christ child’s birth. We look for teh star and we listen for the song and we pray for peace on earth.
t
Then love fills the world and the song that we sing is a song of peace and joy For the lord up above has sent down his love in the form of a baby boy.

Narrator: This is a story Not a real story but a story about real feelings. It is meant to be funny and to make us all think about how we feel about ourselves. Frances has broken her leg. She is a little girl who can no longer find anything good about herself or others. This is the story of her magical night in the hospital which changed her feelings about....
Nurse: Hi Frances how do you feel tonight
Frances: Awful miserable horrible and ugly. And I don’t like you either. No one likes me and I don’t like anybody. Look at me and my broken leg. It hurts and it’s not getting better and who cares. I don't’ care if I ever go home.
Nurse: Now, Now Everything will get better. Here’s a box of toys to play with and a present for you. (Nurse leaves)
Frances: Toys Ugh Jack in the box, blocks, stuffed animals, Ugh (open present) Raggedy Ann & Andy Big Deal! if only I had someone to talk to who really cares (throws dolls)
Nurse: It’s time to go to bed now good night Frances
Narrator: As Frances goes to sleep she is very uncomfortable with her broken leg but something magical happens Suddenly
R. Andy: Boy does she have an attitude problem
R. Ann: She needs help What should we do?
R Andy Wake her and tell her
R Ann Hey you wake up! (shakes Frances Andy helps)
Frances: (sleepily) What do you want hey I must be dreaming
R Ann: You need hlep and we are going to give it to you
R Andy: Yes we will find our friends and prove to you that you are not such a bad person and that other people are ok.
Frances: I am dreaming Leave me alone and Good Night!
R Ann: We’ve got work to do (Everyone gets on skit area)
Narrator: So Raggedy Ann & Andy set out to gather up their friends in Toyland and stir them to life to help Frances change herself. A quick visit to the toy box and low and behold.....
R Andy: Wake up Frances
Frances; Oh it’s you again what now?
R Ann: Look we’ve all come to help
Frances: (Suddenly sits up) Wow
Cowboy: We hear you’ve got an attitude problem
Frances: Why Not too many things are wrong with me
Donkey; Like what’s so wrong with you? That isn’t just as bad or worse for someone else?
Frances: Well, like my nose. It’s too big and ugly
Elephant: Nose did you say Nose? my nose is so big I can hardly lift my head. It’s in the way and I’m miserable when I get a cold your nose is peanuts compared to mine.
Frances: Ok.. So .... Look at my ears. They’re gigantic and they stick out all over
Donkey: You burn me up. I can hardly see your ears. Look at mine. I’m stuck with these crummy things. People call me the honkey donkey because they can see me coming for miles
Frances: Ok but what about my legs I can’t run fast or anything
Cowboy: Be thankful for what you got little lady. I can’t walk a straight line anymore only in circles.
Frances; But my friends all call me a big square
Block 1: Big Square: That's a laugh I’m a big square and I can’t change that either
Block 2: Yeah and I’m not so round myself
Frances: If I could sing people would maybe like me
Jack In Box: Well my music box is broken but I can still bring laughter to people with my springy bounce and smile.
Frances: Well I could begin to look at people and myself for other reasons
R Andy: yes you could. Look at Sambo the pup. He was cast into a closet and never played with oh his way to the pound puppies
Sambo: Bark Bark Yes, I had lots of love I wanted to give and still want to give. Everyone needs love and wants love.
R Ann: Yes Frances we all love you too
Frances: Thanks! You’ve all really helped me. I guess I’m not so bad after all and all those things that I thought were wrong with me really aren’t as bad as I’ve made them
Nurse: Frances why are you still awake
Frances; just because of the toys Oh thank you for bringing them to me so they could help me
Nurse Your welcome
Narrator So our story ends. You see it’s really never as bad as you make. We all have the same problems some are just bigger for others and we can all learn to accept them and go on with life as we help each other and let others help us.
Sing:
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
these are a few of my favorite things
Cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudels
doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel and noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
these are a few of my favorite things
Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
these are a few of my favorite things
when the dog bites
when the bee stings
when I’m feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
and then I don’t feel so bad.

The Greatest American Hero
Look at what’s happened to me I can’t believe it myself
Suddenly I’m on top of the world It should have been somebody else
Believe it or not I’m walking on air I never thought I could feel so free
Flying away on a wing and a prayer Who could it be Believe it or Not it’s just me
Just like the light of a new day It hit me from out of the blue Breaking me out of the spell I was in Making all of my wishes come true.
Believe it or not I’m walking on air I never thought I could feel so free Flying away on a wing and a prayer who could it be Believe it or not it’s just me
This is too good to be true Look at me falling for you Believe it or not I’m walking on air I never thought I could feel so free flying away on a wing and a prayer who could it be Believe it or Not it’s just me

Eye of the Tiger
Risin’ up back on the street did my time took my chances went the distance now I'm back on my feet just a man and his will to survive So many times its happens to fast you trade your passion for glory. Don’t lose your grip on the drams of the past you must fight just to keep them alive. It’s the eye of the tiger it’s the thrill of the fight Risen up to the challenge of the rival and the last know survivor works hard into the night and he’s watching us all with the eye of the tiger
Risin’ up straight to the top had the guts got the glory went the distance now I'm not gonna stop just a man hand his will to survive. It’s the eye of the tiger it’s the thrill of the fight Rising up to the challenge of our rival and the last known survivor works hard into the night and he’s watching us all with the eye of the tiger.
On the road again by Alvin and the chipmunks Urban Chipmunk.
On the road again I don’t want to be on the road again The life I love is playing baseball with my friends I can’t wait to get off the road again.
On the road again Going places I’ve already been Seein things I don’t want to see again and I can’t wait to get off the road again. On the road again like a band of gypsies we go down the highway We’re the best of friends insisting that the world keep turning our way an dour way is off the road again.
Just can’t wait to get off the road again the life I love is playing football with my friends and I can’t wait to get off the road again. On the road again just can’t wait to get on the road again The life I love is playing music with my friends. I can’t wait to get on the road again
The old oaken bucket
How dear to my heart are the scenes of my childhood. when fond recollections presents them to view. The orchard, the meadow, the deep tangled wildwood, and every loved spot which my infancy knew. The wide spreading pond and the mill that stood by it. The bridge and the rock where the cataract fell The cot of my father father the dairy house nigh it and een the rude bucket that hung in the well.
chorus: The old oaken bucket the iron bound bucket that hung in the well
That moss covered bucket I hailed as a treasure for often at noon when returned from the field I found it the source of an exquisite pleasure the purest and sweetest that nature can yield. How ardent I seized it with hands that here glowing and quick to the white pebbled bottom it fell. Then soon with the emblem of truth overflowing and dripping with coolness it rose from the well.
chorus The old oaken bucket the iron bound bucket that hung in the well
how sweet from the green mossy brim to receive it as poised on the curb it inclined to my lips. not a full blushing goblet could tempt me to leave it. Tho filled with the nectar that Jupiter sips. and now far removed from the loved habitation the tear of regret will intrusively swell. As fancy reverts to my fathers plantation and sighs for the bucket that hung in the well
chorus The old oaken bucket the iron bound bucket that hung in the well

Thank you, thank you, thank you! One of the few songs I remember from junior high choir is "Long long ago on a Bethlehem plain a star shone bright all around." I have been searching for it since I first got the Internet in the early 90s and THIS is the first time I've found it. Now now only do I have all the lyrics but the title as well. Now maybe I can find the sheet music for it. lol It's just so nice to have found it. Thank you SO much for posting the lyrics here.
